The Epsilon Psi Sigma Chapter was founded in 1976 in Las Vegas, Nevada, by Bro. Alvin Coleman Jr., Bro. Lonnie Richardson, Bro. Elijah Bowman, Bro. Earl Carter, and Bro. Anthony Thomas. These Brother's ingenuity has led to an abundance of Sigma men in Las Vegas. For over 40 years, the chapter has been a driving force in the Las Vegas Valley with our chapter members actively engaged in local government, law enforcement, business, the faith-based community, and education. The Epsilon Psi Sigma Chapter strives to strengthen the African American male by serving as campus advisors at the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV) Pi Zeta Chapter.
Our motto “Culture For Service and Service For Humanity” is what we strive to accomplish, throughout the Las Vegas Valley. We are comprised of a diverse group of men that are passionate about our organization and giving back to the community. We recognize that our duty is to impart the knowledge, wisdom and understanding that we have obtained through scholarship and life's experiences, in order to help secure a better tomorrow for our community.
For the last decade, the Epsilon Psi Sigma chapter of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity Inc. has seen tremendous growth thanks to a focus on reactivating brothers in the area, developing new members, strategic partnerships and continuing to work in our community.
Epsilon Psi Sigma has been diligent in pursuit of mastering our principles of Brotherhood, Scholarship, and Service.Our Sigma Beta Club continues to grow every year. Epsilon Psi Sigma has also adopted Jesse D. Scott elementary school in North Las Vegas, where we volunteer and mentor students throughout the school year. Most recently we have initiated our “Building Future Leaders” Scholarship Banquet which provides scholarships for deserving young men and women in the Las Vegas Valley. Our chapter includes Bro. Mark Armstrong who was our 33rd Western Regional Director, Bro Adrian Hunt who is our Immediate Past Southern Nevada State Director and Esteemed Bro. Reuben D’Silva who is a Charter Member of the Alain Leroy Locke Honors Chapter.
